This will be the third year for the show house which is run in conjunction with St. Phillips Cathedral Annual Antique Sale. This is our first opportunity to participate in this show house, so we are really looking forward to it. We had the opportunity to walk through the house back in August and had to submit a full presentation for the chance to participate. The panel consisted of several designers, and all entries were judged blindly.
Several weeks ago we had the opportunity to go back and see the house, and meet all of the other designers who had been chosen. We have such an amazing team working on the house! The home is actually located on the property of St. Phillips Cathedral in Buckhead, and is one of Atlanta's oldest homes. It was originally home to the Andrews family (Andrews Drive is named after them), but is now used by the church for counseling and community outreach programs.
The room that we will be working on is the Parlor. Located near the back entrance of the home, the Parlor is just off of the main hallway, and connects to the chapel. The room has all original trim work, including the fireplace and windows. Right now it's just a shell, but we have grand plans for this cozy little room.
We look forward to keeping you connected throughout our design process for this project! Please feel free to ask questions or comment on the progress.
